User Provided Account Information
When you create an account with HopPlotter, you may be required to provide certain information, such as as your name, password and email address. This may be considered “personally identifiable information”, information that would allow us to directly identify or contact you.
Automatically Collected Information
Some Services, such as search and the creation of itineraries that may not be retrieved, do not require registration. In such cases, our servers may automatically record information that your browser or device sends when you use the App. This information may include, but is not limited to, your computer’s Internet Protocol address, browser type, mobile device type and operating system, the web page you were visiting before you came to our website and information you search for in our App. Like many websites, we also use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. In order to save your username and password for future logins to the website, we use “persistent cookies”. For the purpose of enabling certain features of the website, to better understand how you interact with the App and to monitor usage and web traffic routing on the App, we use “session ID cookies”. You have the option to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting cookies from websites you visit by changing your browser options. However, you may not be able to use all portions of the App or utilize the Services to their fullest extent.
At certain times while using the App, you may be asked to share your device's or computer's location with the App in order to improve your experience with the Services. You have the option to decline this permission or stop sharing your location at any time, through your browser or device settings. If you do choose to share your location with HopPlotter, it may be automatically recorded by our servers for logging purposes.
If you initiate a transaction through the Service, such as a HopPlotter Premium membership purchase, we may collect and store some of your payment information. Only non-sensitive information will be stored, such as the last four (4) digits of your credit card number and the credit card expiration date, for the purpose of logging charges and identifying forms of payment, or to allow for automatic membership renewal in the case that you have opted into such a service. No sensitive credit card data will be stored on HopPlotter’s servers, or shared with anyone, with the exception of our third-party payment platform, Square. For more information, refer to the Payment section below.
