// Banana, Clove, Bready // Summer is in full swing and few beers are more appropriate than our Bavarian Weissbier brewed in the German tradition. If any beer will whisk your palette away to Munich, Germany, it is this one. Our take on the style is cloudy, crisp, effervescent, and refreshing, all while carrying with it a richness that only the finest German barley and wheat malts can provide. On top of these fantastic ingredients, the true star in the Weissbier is the yeast: This strain has been used in Germany for centuries and during fermentation, enriches the beer with heady banana, clove, and bubblegum flavor and aroma. Prost!
California Common
Style: California Common
ABV: 4.9%
IBUs: 48
# Ratings: 341
Score: 3.59
Taste: Caramel, Rustic, Toasty // A true American West Coast original. Full-bodied but sessionable, this beer has a number of unique qualities that come together in a delicious way. It starts with a simple grain bill of US 2-row barley malt and a variety of caramel malts. These toasty flavors create a stable base to support the heavy dosing of Northern Brewer hops in the boil. Instead of a citrus character, these hops lend to a woody, rustic flavor. After cooling, we inoculated the wort with our favorite lager yeast. Lagers are normally fermented at cool temps, but for the Common, we allow the temperature to rise into the Ale range. A simple distinctive beer - perfect to enjoy fireside while watching an after-lunch sunset in the sub-arctic.
Saison

ABV: 5.9%

UK IPA
Style: IPA - English
ABV: 6.5%
IBUs: 67
# Ratings: 232
Score: 3.71
// Fruity, Grassy, Refreshing // Brewed in the style of an English IPA from the 1800’s, our UK IPA is distinctly English. A simple malt bill of 100% English Maris Otter malted barley lends the beer a humble base that perfectly carries the distinct flavor and aroma of Golding hops. Goldings have been cultivated since the mid-1700s and are revered for their sweet, fruity contributions to English Ales. ABV: 6.5% // IBU: 67// OG: 15.4
German Rauchbier
Style: Rauchbier
ABV: 5.0%
IBUs: 28
# Ratings: 223
Score: 3.57
// Smoke, Toast, Malty // As an homage to one of the brewmaster’s favorite beers, we bring you this delicious smoked lager or, Rauchbier. As with all of our German-style beers, the entire grain bill is brought to Fairbanks from Weyermann Malt, Bamburg, Germany. Half of the malted barley, called “rauchmalt” is kilned over an open beechwood smoke fire, lending a smooth, sweet, smokey character to this clean drinkable lager.
Maibock
Style: Bock - Hell / Maibock / Lentebock
ABV: 7.0%
IBUs: 25
# Ratings: 210
Score: 3.86
// Rich, Malty, Clean // Goodbye winter, hello summer! Celebrate as the Germans celebrate! HooDoo Maibock, our first lager, pours a rich golden color with a creamy white head on top. The aroma is clean with an inviting malt complexity and a lightly spicy noble hop note. With the first sip comes a juicy hit of delicious German malts. Hints of honey, candy sugar, and clean aromatic hops. Medium bodied, the rich malty flavors are supported by a soft underlying hop bitterness, balancing the beer perfectly.
Mosaic Pale Ale
Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 5.0%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 168
Score: 3.70
The Mosaic Pale is a single-hop style, sessionable ale that uses the unmistakable aromatics of the Mosaic hop variety. Lightly sweet with a juicy malt base, you might pick up on tropical fruit, fruit punch, rose blossom and pine needles. Mosaic hops are a relatively new hop, and are celebrated for their depth of complex flavors and aromas. Swing in and enjoy a pint, we're excited to bring this darling of the craft beer world to you, Fairbanks.
American Pale Ale
Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 5.1%
IBUs: 42
# Ratings: 165
Score: 3.65
// Toasty, Hoppy, Quenching // HooDoo American Pale starts with a light but complex base of five different barley malts, then is hopped in the boil kettle with two unique, Oregon grown hop varieties. After fermentation the beer is dry-hopped with one of our favorite hop varieties, Centennial, also grown in Oregon. The result is a distinctively delicious beer with a rich hop character, but with a little more drinkability than an IPA.
Belgian Golden Strong Ale
Style: Belgian Strong Golden Ale
ABV: 8.4%
IBUs: 30
# Ratings: 163
Score: 3.77
// Dry, Fruity, Effervescent // Originally developed by the Moortgat brewery in the 1940’s as a response to the growing popularity of Pilsner beers, this light-colored Belgian Ale is a complex marriage of fruity, spicy and alcohol flavors over a soft base of pilsner malt, noble hops, Belgian Candi Sugar. Pale and demure with a beckoning sparkle, its drinkability is unassuming...and sinister.
Pumpkin Ale (Anniversary Ale)
Style: Pumpkin / Yam Beer
ABV: 6.8%
IBUs: 42
# Ratings: 155
Score: 3.91
// Full bodied, Complex, Spice // “Pumpkin pie in a glass.” - Old Ale brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice and 100% real pumpkin. As the days get shorter, the temperature drops, and the snow begins to accumulate, nothing warms the Fairbanks soul better than a slice of creamy pumpkin pie, topped with a dollop of whip cream. Especially if this delicious treat comes in beer form. The rich aromas from the baked pumpkin and light spice additions complement the deep malty base of this deep orange colored beer. Upon first sip, an up-front spice is immediately supported by a creamy, complex sweetness. The spices give way to rich maltiness before the beer finishes cleanly, but full-bodied.
Scottish Export Ale
Style: Scottish Export Ale
ABV: 5.6%
IBUs: 26
# Ratings: 142
Score: 3.71
Sweet, Caramel, Earthy // This is our take on the strongest of the Scottish Ales - the Scottish Export Ale. Rich and malty, but clean and dry. These beers often have a slight peat smoke character, so in addition to the nine varieties of Scottish, English and Belgian malts, we included a small portion of peat smoked malt to the grist for a hint of earthy smoke.
Schwarzbier
Style: Schwarzbier
ABV: 5.5%
IBUs: 28
# Ratings: 119
Score: 3.88
Pronounced "shvahrts-beer" this lager is not only fun to say, but it's delicious too! Schwarzbier is to lager what stout is to ale. This dark lager-style originated in southern Germany and is sometimes referred to as a “Black Pils”. Our version of Schwarzbier uses 100% German malt, hops and yeast, along with classic German brewing techniques. The result is a surprisingly drinkable, but complex, lager with hints of chocolate, roast, and sweet and deliciously light finish.
American Black Ale
Style: IPA - Black / Cascadian Dark Ale
ABV: 6.0%
IBUs: 65
# Ratings: 108
Score: 3.70
Also referred to as a Black IPA or Cascadian Dark Ale, our Black Ale is a marriage of Cascade hops - known for their classic citrus flavor - and rich malt flavors. The use of specialty grains that are de-husked before roasting allows for deep chocolate notes without astringent roast flavors normally found in dark styles like Stout.
2017 Barleywine
Style: Barleywine - English
ABV: 9.1%
IBUs: 35
# Ratings: 86
Score: 3.77
// Full-Bodied, Caramel, Warming // Barleywine 2017 is our interpretation of a classic English Barleywine; the strongest of all the English Ales and a showcase of intense malt flavor and complexity. We updated the recipe for 2017, introducing a more traditional English Ale yeast to the flavor profile. The difference is delicious!
TUSK Barrel-aged Barleywine
Style: Barleywine - English
ABV: 10.0%
IBUs: 30
# Ratings: 82
Score: 4.08
// Whiskey, Malty, Warming // Limited bottling; only 1000 made. For TUSK, we aged our 2014 barleywine one-year in wheat whiskey barrels from Dry Fly Distilling. Smokey, rich and malty this is a perfect beer for celebrations and cellaring.
3:41 Imperial Stout

"I'll Have Another" Rye Saison

ABV: 6.5%

Fruity, Spicy, Citrus // An AK brewers collaboration brew for Alaska Beer Week. At the annual Great Alaska Craft Beer & Homebrew Festival, a few great brewers gathered ‘round a table in Haines, Alaska and made up the recipe that formed the beers you taste here. They came up with a beer that each would brew on the first of Dec., using the same exact ingredients. However, how the brewers mashed in, and the temperatures for mash and fermentation were up to them.
Witbier

XPA
Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 5.4%
IBUs: 49
# Ratings: 67
Score: 3.84
// Hoppy, Spicy, Quenching // Purity, simplicity, and quality. HooDoo Extra Pale has a clean, lightly toasted, American malt body, with a clear hop bitterness that finishes surprisingly smooth. Our XPA has a slightly spicy hop aroma – you’ll experience the Oregon-grown Horizon and Santiam hops taking center stage. The clean, crisp hop flavor rides on top of a refreshing bitterness that doesn’t linger, leaving your palate refreshed.
English Mild
Style: English Bitter
ABV: 4.1%
IBUs: 15
# Ratings: 67
Score: 3.69
// Nutty, English, Sessionable // The HooDoo Mild is our take on an English-style bitter - a classic UK session beer. Often called “sessionable” because of the ease of consuming several in a single setting, ours is made with English Maris Otter malt, is naturally carbonated, and drinks clean and crisp, with a subtle complex malt flavor (that just might leave you craving more).
Belgian Tripel
Style: Belgian Tripel
ABV: 8.3%
IBUs: 30
# Ratings: 64
Score: 3.84
HooDoo Tripel is a strong, effervescent ale brewed in the Belgian tradition. One of the strongest styles of Belgian beer, Tripel is deceiving in its light color, and inviting with its aroma and candy-like sweetness. Made with only the finest european malts, fermentable sugars are also derived from an addition of Belgian Candi Sugar during the boil. This sugar addition results in not only a higher alcohol content, but also allows the yeast to ferment the beer to a high degree leaving a clean, dry finish. Flavors from the yeast and malts compliment each other with peppery, fruity flavors dominating, and an occasional hint of bubblegum.
