MORE INFO

The internationally distinguished brewery in the heart of Vienna.

7Stern Bräu, one of only a few true breweries in Vienna, offers a unique range of beer specialities that are brewed using the finest malts, best quality hops and Vienna's first-class drinking water. Unlike mass-produced beers with preservatives, 7Stern beers are wholly natural and most of the vitamins and minerals of the grains are retained.
Good quality water for brewing, careful selection of raw materials, no filtration and preservation methods, ample storage time of all 7Stern beers until ideal maturity time and the skilled knowhow of our brewers, have made the 7Stern specialties renowned throughout Vienna Neubau and the first of the beer community within a very short time.

A blond unfiltered lager with pre-dominantly hop aroma and with noble old world hops from Saaz.
Prager Dunkles
Style: Lager - Dark
ABV: 4.5%
# Ratings: 892
Score: 3.57
Almost black and creamy, this dark lager represents the 19th century black lagers popular in many central European towns such as Prague. Roasted malts give it a toasty, slightly toffees' taste with vanilla aromas but surprisingly little sweetness while hops are subtle and only present in the aftertaste.

This straw-colored and intensely cloudy example of the style shows a strong banana-aroma with hints of citrus-zest. It starts with a refreshing liveliness and just a little hint of malty sweetness, the mouthfeel is soft and adds to the impression of soft cake - at least there are some cake-like aromas that can be felt retronasally. The bitterness is on the low end, yet the aftertaste is quite dry.
Smoked Porter
Style: Smoked Beer
ABV: 5.3%
# Ratings: 222
Score: 3.54
Extremely dark reddish-brown with a stable, tan head. The aroma is dominated by a pleasant smell of yeast with underlying notes of roasted malt and toasted bread. This porter is full-bodied and almost creamy from the very first sip - yet there is no apparent sweetness. The taste reminds of bitter chocolate with a subtle smokiness (indeed there is some smoked malt on the grain bill) and this gives a very balanced overall impression that lasts very long in the aftertaste.
