One of the fringe benefits of the brewery is getting to see faces from the past when they come visit. In this case, University School Class of ‘99 had their 20 year reunion. That’s our old stomping grounds, only we were class of 1998. Was great to see our school friends and educators. #classof99 #uschool #proudoftheirsuccesses #stillthesuns NSU University School Alumni

Last week's winners' pic took some time to post and we are proud to say one of our own, Vicente Arias took home the cash with South Florida Foosball Club regular, Craig Simpson. It's not often we see Craig smile so Vicente must have brought the fun. We have another chance to win the cash tonight at our Pompano Foosball Weekly Tournament. (Sorry Vinny, we will get your picture up sooner if you defend your title tonight.)

Please look at this video and let us know if you can identify the person or vehicle. This happened at Troy's Bar-Be-Que. If you're not familiar with this restaurant, it's time. Without exaggeration, they make the best BBQ around. They started as a food truck, often out front of our brewery. Chasing the American dream, they opened up one and then another permanent restaurant locations. These days, Troy's Bar-Be-Que wins just about every food competition they enter. Still, they are a small business and this is a huge setback. If you're in the area, or even if you're not, jump in the car and head over to their Boynton or Boca location. And bring some friends and family.

Flavor and aroma hops prevail. Not overly bitter with a distinctively dry yet refreshing finish, this American IPA has a unique flavor that has quickly won-over hopheads and non-hopheads alike.
Captain Ron
Style: Hefeweizen
ABV: 5.6%

Created using traditional German brewing techniques, Captain Ron pays homage to our beer forefathers. It's elegant banana aroma and flavor makes it an approachable favorite for new craft beer drinkers.
Ziko's Rage
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 7.8%
IBUs: 40
# Ratings: 1,279
Score: 3.83
Ziko is an adolescent loggerhead sea turtle that was rescued by the Loggerhead Marlinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida. Unlike most sea turtles that are rather docile, Ziko was 70 pounds of biting fury. Procedures were very difficult on this turtle as one wrong move could cost you an arm. We found no better brew to bear his name and attitude than Ziko’s Rage. This stout has a pretty, cream-colored head. It’s flavor profile is quite complex: roasty, sweet, chocolate and delicious.
Joe's Pale Ale
Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 4.5%
IBUs: 20
# Ratings: 977
Score: 3.09
Made with premium pilsner malt, noble hops, and a touch of wheat, Joe’s Pale Ale is Flanigan’s signature brew. Crafted locally by 26 Degree Brewing Company, this crisp but smooth ale is palatable proof that fresh beer is the best beer!
Tri-County Common Lager
Style: Lager - American Light
ABV: 5.5%
IBUs: 28
# Ratings: 855
Score: 3.43
Brewed with a German water profile, crisp-yet-subtle malt flavors symbiotically balance with a finish of soft esters. An easy-drinking beer that loves to go on a boat and to football games. An under-pronounced hop bitterness makes this a favorite for macro and micro beer drinkers.

# Ratings: 775

Brewed with love in honor of a great man, this beer is exactly how Jared enjoyed his amber ales. An unmistakable caramel malt sweetness balanced with the subtle flavor of American Northwest hops. A good beer for any occasion, especially when enjoyed with great friends.
Scotch Ness Monster
Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
ABV: 7.4%
IBUs: 38
# Ratings: 541
Score: 3.70
Smoke, Peat and a touch of caramel flavors, this beer is truly unique. True to style, the hop bittering, hop flavor and hop aroma are nearly non-existent. For reasons we cannot fathom, this style of beer (strong scotch ale or “wee heavy”) is not too popular in America but had enormous popularity in the United Kingdom dating as far back as the 1700’s.

Some people might claim and APA has less alcohol while others claim less hops...and still others might claim it's a combination of both. Well, we're not here to stake our claim. Instead, we are here to bring you great beer. And this American Pale Ale will tickle your hop palate and massage your beer cravings.

Pucker Face

ABV: 6.7%
IBUs: 60
# Ratings: 438

Sours are all the rage these days…and IPA’s have been the rage for quite some time. So for our first ever sour, we decided to combine the two. We took our beloved IPA1A recipe, gave the grain bill a small tweek, introduced it to a specialized form of Lactobacillus (Plantarum) as the souring agent, and then we added copious amounts of dry-hops. In fact, we DOUBLE DRY-HOPPED this bad boy. The first round was with Citra, Amarillo and Simcoe; then a second round with Amarillo and Cashmere. The result is a deliciously refreshing sour combined with flavor and aroma from some of the best hops America has to offer. Born 3/3/17, we are confident Pucker Face will go down as one of the greats!
