Mistakes happen from time to time in the brewery. We're not perfect. Making beer is a delicate process but some beers can appear to be invincible. We talk about some of our recipes as being bulletproof. This happens to be one of those recipes. This is a double IPA that's been abused by warrior hops and is still standing tall. The aroma of this beer is citrus and spice. slightly bitter with resin and floral notes.

Big Ass Amber
Style: Red Ale - Imperial / Double
ABV: 10.5%
IBUs: 23
# Ratings: 310
Score: 3.89
This beer was never meant to hit the taps. It is a base beer meant for barrel aging and by mix up in the brewery, it was carbonated and made it's way to the public. As a result, it was an instant crowd favorite. Proceed with caution as this big boy's 10.5% alcohol is masked nicely behind a huge malt bill. We feel confident if John Wayne was still alive this is all he would drink. Note: This is the base beer to Uncle Argyle. Big Ass Amber aged in Scotch barrels. Uzi Briefcase is Big Ass Amber aged in bourbon barrels. Keep an eye out for aged versions of this big beer.

Its dry, juicy and almost has a candy like fruitiness from the hops. Brewed with a thin, dry mouthfeel of a west coast IPA but but left hazy like your east coast ales. This mutt beer has an aroma that will knock your socks off. Keep an eye out for many variants of this delicious IPA.

The hefegerste is a beer that is a true throwback. During the world wars hefegerste was made as a low ABV beer to serve to the troops on the front line. Wheat being a premium at the time, this beer was made with barley but still brewed with a hefeweizen yeast for a very unique flavor. Great year round that is a real thirst quencher.

Sporran Sway
Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
ABV: 7.5%
IBUs: 21
# Ratings: 123
Score: 3.72
Scotch ales are traditionally super malty with a nice rich caramel color that is a product of a longer than normal boil. Our version adds the smoky deliciousness of a peated malt that brings the traditional scotch ale to a whole other level of complexity. We have found that aging this malty beer in kegs for several months really rounds out the flavor. Enjoy this surly guy in the colder months as one of our winter seasonals.
