• Our California Street IPA is a multi-hop tropical IPA brewed with El Dorado, Simcoe and Cascade hops. The blend of these hops produce the aroma of tropical fruit and the flavors of pears and stone fruit. The late addition of a bittering hop provides a backbone balance to the flavor. It has a light golden color. Are the El Dorado hops sought after and hard to find? Yes they are. Just like 56 Brewing. This is a crisp and clean great IPA that we can drink this all year long. Here's one for the IPA fanatics out there, 56 Style.

Lake Sandy Rye

ABV: 5.6%
IBUs: 19
# Ratings: 759
Score: 3.51
A clean, crisp lager with a yellow hue. This beer is lightly hopped to bring out the pilsner and rye malts. It is refreshing enough for a hot summer day, yet bold enough to be enjoyed year round. If you search old maps of Minneapolis prior to 1900 you may notice a large and shallow lake named Lake Sandy. This small lake is noted and located just west of Central Avenue along what is now St. Anthony Parkway. At one point in Minneapolis, this was the only lake in the cities park with an ice rink, warming house, and concession stand. Over the years, the lake has disappeared off of maps and can be hard to locate in our well-developed part of town.
Polonaise APA

ABV: 5.4%

This is an easy drinking American pale ale. It has a dark golden color and pleasant citrus aroma. The flavor starts off with a caramel sweetness and finishes with tones of grapefruit which lingers after each sip. The polonaise is a dance of Polish origin in 3/4 time. Its name is French for "Polish."! The polonaise had a rhythm quite close to that of the Swedish semiquaver or sixteenth-note polska, and the two dances have a common origin. Polonaise is a widespread dance in carnival parties. Polonaise is always a first dance at a studniówka ("hundred-days"), Polonaise is a Polish dance and is one of the five historic national dances of Poland. NE MPLS is home to many polish decedents and historic “Nye’s Polonaise Room”.
