Fruit harvest is in full swing here in the bountiful Pacific Northwest. Over the last few days we picked up the first stone fruit and berries we will be using this year. Our friends @spoonerberryfarms provided us with these incredibly sweet and juicy raspberries from the Puyallup Valley. Probably the best raspberries we’ve seen and tasted to date. @seangilbertapples and the amazing people at Gilbert Orchards supplied us with these absolutely incredible Robada apricots from the Yakima Valley. Juicy, sweet and just perfect. We’re very excited about the quality of the fruit we’re getting this year, and can’t wait to share the finished product with you. Stay tuned!

The Goat
Style: Farmhouse Ale - Saison
ABV: 4.9%
# Ratings: 3,837
Score: 4.04
The Goat is our rustic brett saison, brewed with barley, rye, oats, and wheat, and heavily hopped with European hops. This batch was fermented in our foudre with two saison strains and brett, then allowed to age for three months. The Goat was refermented in the bottle with brett, and has been conditioning for four months. Although we plan to brew The Goat again, there will never be a batch like this, and we don’t have immediate plans to ferment another batch in the foudre or to age it for so long before release. This batch has white wine notes from the brett, opening up with pear, mint, and oak. Bone dry and 4.9% ABV, this beer is wonderfully effervescent, perfect for summer drinking. Many thanks to our friend Brian Steely for the illustration and to our friend Jordan Butcher for additional label design.

The beer had a 24 hour contact time with the grape skins and lees, where it was then racked off the pomace. Conditioned with a characterful wine yeast.
