Oh shit - we at it again!! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came out yesterday and for the positive attitudes and good vibes all around. Day 2 of our 5th Anniversary celebration starts today at 12noon, and we've got another surprise release: PRIMORDIAL SKY Double IPA. Primordial Sky was brewed with Two Row, Pilsner malt, malted spelt, flaked barley, and malted oats. It was hopped with insane amounts of Simcoe, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Idaho 7, and dry-hopped with more of the same. 16oz 4-packs will be available when we open ONLY IN THE OUTDOOR BEER GARDEN so that we can keep draught service as smooth as possible in the Taproom. $22/4-pk, 1 x 4-pack per person Primordial Sky will be on tap in the Taproom and the Beer Garden, and we'll have a limited amount of t-shirts available in the Taproom as well. Just a reminder that parking is limited, so please take public transit or Uber/Lyft if possible. Our friends @lilwoodys are parked out back and they'll be ready to sling some food for everyone when we open at noon. Hope to see you soon!

As a 5th Anniversary surprise, we're releasing a very special blended bourbon barrel aged Stout called MERCY SEAT. Mercy Seat is a thoughtful blend that incorporates stock of Plague of Angels, Midnight Still, King's Head, and a special barrel base of Midnight Still brewed with smoked malt. Each beer was aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels anywhere between 6 and 16 months before blending. Bottles of Mercy Seat will be available today when we open at 12noon ONLY IN THE OUTDOOR BEER GARDEN so that we can keep draught service as smooth as possible in the Taproom. $22/500ml, 1 BOTTLE PER PERSON until it's gone. A single keg of Mercy Seat will also be on tap in the Taproom when we open at 12noon. We will not be offering crowlers to-go this weekend so that we can keep service running as smoothly as possible. We will have cans of Three Fates avaialbe to-go, along with bottles of The Seer, King's Head, and Misere Au Borinage - all still available in the Taproom. Parking is limited, so if possible, please try to take public transit or Uber/Lyft. Mark your calendars - we're celebrating our 5th ANNIVERSARY on January 24th & 25th (Friday & Saturday)!! We plan on rotating a bunch of cellared beers in the Taproom, and similar to last year, we'll have a covered beer garden set up behind the brewery with an additional 4 beers on tap where we'll accept credit/debit/cash payments. As with previous years, we'll be partying hard on Friday & Saturday and closing on Sunday (1/26) for staff recovery. We have a few special surprises in store for both Friday and Saturday, so stay tuned for more information in the days to come. We honestly can't believe it's been 5 years, and we can't thank each and every one of you enough for your continued support, which allows us to brew the fun shit we want to brew. Our stock ale is brewed and aged in the tradition of the great English and American barleywines brewed with floor-malted Maris Otter, Munich, and a blend of Crystal malts, and hopped with Amarillo and Centennial. Deadfall was fermented with our house ale strain and then aged for six months in a Westland whiskey barrel which had previously held American bourbon. The barrel character is more akin to scotch than American whiskey, and the extended aging has enhanced the malt, hop, and yeast characters without overwhelming them. The fruity yeast and hops meld with the sweet malt character and notes of vanilla spice, and citrus of the cask, creating a complex array of caramel and bruleed sugar flavors, with an aroma of candied oranges.

Call of the Void started as a wheat blonde base that was fermented in a mix of Washington red wine barrels with a blended house wild culture. It was then transferred into oak puncheons on top of massive amounts of black currants and blackberries, where it underwent a secondary fermentation before bottle conditioning with Brettanomyces.

The Goat is our rustic brett saison, brewed with barley, rye, oats, and wheat, and heavily hopped with European hops. This batch was fermented in our foudre with two saison strains and brett, then allowed to age for three months. The Goat was refermented in the bottle with brett, and has been conditioning for four months. Although we plan to brew The Goat again, there will never be a batch like this, and we don’t have immediate plans to ferment another batch in the foudre or to age it for so long before release. This batch has white wine notes from the brett, opening up with pear, mint, and oak. Bone dry and 4.9% ABV, this beer is wonderfully effervescent, perfect for summer drinking.
