BEER LIST
Canuck Pale Ale
Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 5.2%
IBUs: 35
# Ratings: 14,144
Score: 3.62
The minute you crack your can, aroma of grapefruit, mango and pine hit you in the face; like a beaver slapping his tail on a pristine small body of water in Ontario. Canuck pours a deep gold, bordering on burnt orange that produces a tight snowy white toque. Take one last nose before getting into the liquid, which you’ll soon find will be hard to put down. Soft carbonation leads into a sweet honeyish start before it gives way to more grapefruit, tropical citrus, canned peaches and pine. Light to medium body with a very dry finish. Drink at your local pub, in the fish hut, campground, the beach, in a canoe (responsibly), playing shinny, on a log…actually, anywhere north of the 49th.
Octopus Wants To Fight IPA
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.2%
IBUs: 88
# Ratings: 11,756
Score: 3.93
Our pet octopus is a bit of a jerk. He’s that guy who has a couple then either tells you how much he loves you or threatens to fight you. So we brewed this IPA, with 8 varieties of hops and 8 types of malt. We targeted 88 IBU and 8.8% to appease him. Sadly, when he found out that we’d fabricated all of the above info, it only made him more volatile. We are starting to realize that Octopus was a poor choice for a pet.
Pompous Ass English Ale
Style: Pale Ale - English
ABV: 4.2%
IBUs: 28
# Ratings: 10,920
Score: 3.56
Pompous Ass is our version of an English Pale Ale. We used an American ale yeast to brighten up the flavour and add our own contemporary blend of hops to ensure that even the most pompous ale drinker does a double take.
Karma Citra IPA (Single Hop)
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.6%
IBUs: 65
# Ratings: 7,850
Score: 4.00
News of any new hop coming from the Yakima Valley perks the ears of IPA brewers everywhere, but, with Citra, things were different. The buzz was bigger. As Citra's wave rolled across the land from the west coast we waited... and waited. Finally it crested, and a sample crashed into our pilot system. After brewing with it all the buzz made sense. Comments ranged from "Well that changes the game" to "It's so good it feels like we're cheating." Today we procure as much as Citra as we can to bring you as much of this IPA as our little brewery can muster. All hail Citra!
Sunnyside Session IPA
Style: IPA - Session / India Session Ale
ABV: 3.9%
IBUs: 25
# Ratings: 6,456
Score: 3.67
Looks as beautiful in your glass as a lovely summer day at Sunnyside Beach. Gaze into the sun to get an idea of the colour of this unfiltered (brilliant gold, hazy) tasty treat, which is protected with a snowy head, reminiscent of white caps rolling on Lake Ontario. The citrus aromas leap from the glass with each gentle swirl. Lemon is the most prominent followed by pineapple and a touch of grapefruit. It’s so aromatic that you’ll want to forgo the sunscreen and apply generously to your person. Light body, juicy and refreshing, the same aromas make their way onto the palate, which are elevated due to the soft carbonation and mouthfeel. A dry finish with lingering pineapple notes, Sunnyside has all the flavours of a big GLB IPA packaged in
THRUST! an IPA
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.5%
IBUs: 72
# Ratings: 4,516
Score: 4.04
Designed by NASA scientists, THRUST! is structured to attack you senses. First, it burns into your visual cortex the image of a beer with a deep copper hue topped with a rocky white head. Soon your olfactory bulb should be awoken as the massive dry-hop propels a penetrating aroma of grapefruit, mango, grape, stone fruit and lychee hurling into your forebrain. Resisting the impulse to keep smelling the beer, you pound back a gulp which illicits a poking and proding of tropical fruit and resin on your taste buds. Your pallet soon succumbs as THRUST! penetrates and perforates, eventually becoming your new reality. Citra & Columbus hops, Nelson Sauvin dry hop

Harry Porter and The Bourbon Soaked Vanilla Bean
Style: Porter - American
ABV: 6.5%
IBUs: 18
# Ratings: 2,022
Score: 3.95
It’s been said that a great sorcerer with a single magical vanilla bean can infuse the intense depth of flavour and aroma that is found in this ale. Unfortunately, we are hideously short of such wizards at Great Lakes so instead we simply used 1001 vanilla beans.
Daily Bread (Grandpa's Ol' White Eggnog Stout)

Lake Effect IPA
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 7.0%
IBUs: 80
# Ratings: 7,995
Score: 3.86
The weather channel describes Lake Effect snow as a “mass of sufficiently cold air moving over a body of water creating an unstable temperature profile in the atmosphere.” Who cares. This beer, however, has nothing to do with that drivel. It was inspired by a summer spent drinking heaps of IPAs on a stoop on Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo, NY.
Pumpkin Ale
Style: Pumpkin / Yam Beer
ABV: 5.5%
IBUs: 15
# Ratings: 6,166
Score: 3.57
In our pursuit to bring you the most flavourful and unique beers possible, we are proud to release this tasty autumn ale. Handcrafted with an assortment of specialty malts and hops, we added a generous amount of pumpkin directly into the brew. Combine this with hints of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and allspice, and you’ve got a beer that you won’t soon forget. Rich, satisfying and slightly spicy, our seasonal ale goes perfectly with your favourite dessert or traditional feast. But like fall, Pumpkin Ale comes but once a year!
Robohop
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 8.5%
IBUs: 100
# Ratings: 4,418
Score: 4.02
As a child, RoboHop was shunned for his laser beam eyeballs, bulbous hop-shaped torso and robotic limbs. During adolescence however, things changed for our hero. He captained his high school hockey team, routinely took over dance floors and , thusly, garnered a lot of attention from female classmates. Today, RoboHop battles blandness by making this killer-hoppy and bracingly-bitter beer. Suffer.
Saison Dupump
Style: Pumpkin / Yam Beer
ABV: 5.2%
IBUs: 15
# Ratings: 3,343
Score: 3.63
*One fine autumn day, one of our assistant brewers accidentally pitched saison yeast into a freshly brewed batch of our pumpkin ale. While we all chastised him, the young brewer had faith that he had created something with potential. Well, the lad was right and Saison DuPump was born. *Note, the above story is entirely fabricated. Another unique offering from GLB, a Belgian Saison with pumpkin spices.
Limp Puppet Session IPA

Session IPA - 3.8% "I was once a great entertainer who thrilled throngs of children with dance. Then my puppet master became a CGI whiz. Now I'm an inanimate object - a piece of cloth with asbestos stuffing and lifeless strings. I have no pulse and no soul. I do, however, have a rabid desire for revenge. Beware puppet master - I know where you live..."
Devil's Pale Ale 666
Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 6.6%
IBUs: 66
# Ratings: 2,989
Score: 3.56
The Devil Made Me Brew It! Brewed for 66.6 minutes with 666kg of malt and 6.6kg of hops, Devil’s Pale Ale is a robust ale weighing in at 6.6% alcohol (notice a theme yet?). Darker than traditional pale ales, Devil’s Pale Ale has an unmistakable hoppiness both in aroma and taste, balanced by a selection of 6 choice malts.
Harry Porter
Style: Porter - Other
ABV: 6.5%

# Ratings: 2,777
Score: 3.78
As an American style porter, HP offers up the best of a traditional porter with a flash of unique bittering hops to complement the roasted malts. Chocolate, espresso, a hint of smoke and a touch of magic area all right there in the aroma and in the flavour. Medium bodied with a creamy, silky mouthfeel, and a soft chocolatey finish, HP is wizardly in all facets. Food pairing recommendations
Bacon and eggs, braised beef pie (From Pie Commission), chocolate covered frog, coffee cake, soft blue cheese.
Miami Weiss White Pale Ale
Style: Pale Wheat Ale - American
ABV: 4.5%
IBUs: 35
# Ratings: 2,428
Score: 3.65
Okay, we're busted! We're calling this beer a weiss; it's not! We're suggesting it's from Miami; we've never even been there. Confused? So are we. What we know is it is an American style take on a traditional German wheat beer - A Pale Wheat. Rather than a mild hop presence, this baby is packed with Pacific Northwest hops. It's made with a pale ale yeast which doesn't produce the same banana flavour you find in German weiss beers. We also know that it goes down smooth and tastes terrific. So, what's with the name Miami Weiss? It's just something the guys in marketing came up with.
Red Leaf
Style: Lager - American Amber / Red
ABV: 5.0%
IBUs: 10
# Ratings: 2,297
Score: 3.34
Hints of caramel, nuts and toasted malt result in a fully flavoured yet deceptively smooth lager. A well balanced body makes it a perfect year-round beer. Red Leaf is an ideal match with burgers, stews, sandwiches and similar selections.
My Bitter Wife
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.5%
IBUs: 60
# Ratings: 2,258

Deep gold in colour with incredible aromas of citrus, tropical fruits and mango, My Bitter Wife is an IPA for the serious hop-heads out there. Full bodied, subtle malt notes with a pleasant and balanced bitterness obtained using some Simcoe, Columbus and Centennial hops, it finishes dry with a lingering hop presence that leaves you wanting more. My Bitter Wife will be sure to awaken your senses with each sip.
Audrey Hopburn
Style: IPA - Belgian
ABV: 6.2%
IBUs: 55
# Ratings: 2,215
Score: 3.83
This unfiltered Belgian IPA pours a hazy golden orange that produces a tight white head – really attractive, much like the actress herself. That signature Belgian yeast strain is evident from the first sniff, producing the spiciness one would expect in a Belgian beer. It’s complemented by grassy, piney hops that co-mingle with citrus (pineapple and lemon) that lead to a dry finish with a pleasant lingering bitterness. At 6.2%, it’s refreshing. Thirst quenching. Packed with flavour. A great example of a Belgian IPA that showcases the best of both styles.

Meanwhile... Down In Moxee
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.4%
IBUs: 65
# Ratings: 1,793
Score: 3.86
Not too far from the hustle and bustle of the relatively cosmopolitan Yakima Washington, rests the town of Moxee. It is home to a post office, a laundromat, and one heck of a terrific Teriyaki restaurant. Also (and with significantly more relevance to this overly-wordy write up you’re reading), Moxee is the hometown of the El Dorado hop, which we feature in this here IPA. The hazy IPA pours a milkshakey orange with some whiteness of the suspended yeast peering through. Huge aromas of mango, nectarines, lychee and strawberry abound from the glass and get those saliva glands kicking into high gear. The first sip, and each gulp thereafter, all provide flavours of tangerine and peach, with some kiwi and mango notes...

Lieutenant General John Graves Simcoe is lengendary for his trailblazing into Upper Canada. As a result of this he’s had both a town and a lake named after him. That’s notin, now he’s got a beer! Stemming from our Project X line, Tank Ten is a tickle trunk of tasty treats. This series is payback to our hard working brewers. We've reserved fermenting tank number ten for them and have given them the green light to brew whatever the heck they want.
