Last year, our CEO gave us a mandate: Brew some of the best IPAs in the country. It's something we take seriously, and definitely a labor we love. So much so, we created the Hop Hut at our West Midtown location. It's a shrine dedicated to all beers that are hoppy. In a couple weeks, that shrine will be undergoing some huge changes. We can't wait to show you what's in store.

BEER LIST
Drafty Kilt
Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
ABV: 7.2%
IBUs: 26
# Ratings: 24,455
Score: 3.78
A roasty scotch ale with a hint of smoke. Full-bodied, but not overpowering. Smokey, but not in a creepy bar kind of way. Sweet, but not obnoxiously so. Sound like your ideal mother-in-law? Fair enough, but it also is a pretty dead-on description of our Scotch Ale. In a difficult hop-growing climate, Scottish brewers relied on other ingredients to impart flavor and bitterness – one such ingredient was smoked malt. Drafty Kilt is a dark, malty bombshell of a beer.
Blind Pirate
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 7.4%
IBUs: 55
# Ratings: 22,753
Score: 3.79
A juicy IPA. Pirates love citrus fruits almost as much as they love blood. If the phrase “you are what you eat” is true, then pirates are blood oranges. If the phrase “you are what you drink” is true, you’re about to be an incredibly delicious, juicy hop bomb of an IPA. We add bits of real blood orange to every beer, so you know it’s good.
Slap Fight
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 5.8%
IBUs: 58
# Ratings: 19,836
Score: 3.73
Slap Fight will woo you in with a West Coast-style malt bill, but slaps you across the face with its tropical hop profile. Light in body, heavy in character, this IPA features Munich and Crystal pale malts for a clean, rich mouthfeel. Comet, Equinox and Mosaic hops lend a pungent herbal aroma, peppered with hints of papaya, orange and grapefruit. Present this beer to a friend. If he does not drink it immediately, slap him as hard as you can. Repeat.
Dr. Robot
Style: Sour - Fruited
ABV: 5.0%
IBUs: 7
# Ratings: 10,937
Score: 3.68
A tart, fruity sour beer. Dr. Robot is as playful as its name. After souring to a delightfully tart level, we add blackberry juice and lemon zest to enhance and balance the flavor. The juice gives this beer a pink hue. The perfect blend of sweet and sour, Dr. Robot is a refreshing year-round sipper.
Space Lettuce
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 8.1%
IBUs: 70
# Ratings: 5,673
Score: 4.14
A space crafted double IPA, dry hopped three times, resulting in a cosmically aligned hop encounter. Which hops? Glad you asked. Citra, Mosiac, Simcoe, Mandarina Bavaria, Simcoe and (breath) Ekuanot. 2 Row, Carapils, Pilsen, Munich malts give this one a great backbone too.
Lundi
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 7.1%
IBUs: 55
# Ratings: 2,809
Score: 3.90
Say bonjour to Lundi, a refined IPA from Monday Night Brewing. Pouring a royal yellow, Lundi abounds with citrus notes on the nose. The first sip is soft and juicy with a pleasant sweetness thanks to the malt backbone of pilsner, oats and wheat. It contains all the tangerine and grapefruit notes of Mosaic, Simcoe and El Dorado hops, with little of the expected bitterness. Pair Lundi with an elegant charcuterie plate (include Bleu D’Avergine and Epoisses cheeses), a savory tortière, or chicken paillard. And definitely pair it with great friends and good conversation. #bonlundi
Situational Ethics (Mexican Hot Chocolate Mezcal Barrel Aged)
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 13.8%
IBUs: 50
# Ratings: 1
Score: 4.50
Situational Ethics is a series of decadent imperial stouts, each aged in a different barrel. This bottle is a Mezcal barrel aged version. We added cocoa nibs, Vietnamese cinnamon, chiles and Ugandan vanilla beans. This beer, like the rest of our Situational Ethics series, is best enjoyed on its own with friends, family, and great conversation.
Barrel Farm #1
Style: Farmhouse Ale - Other
ABV: 5.8%
# Ratings: 1
Score: 4.50
Barrel Farm is a rotating blend of beers from our barrels and French oak foeders. This is our first blend, so we are calling it Blend #1. It's comprised of our 1 year old barrel aged Grisette, our foeder Saison, and our 2 year old barrel aged Saison. The result is a fruit forward, tart, quaffable beer with notes of stonefruit, pineapple, pear, crackers, oak, hay, and earthy funk.
Busy Little Bee
Style: Sour - Other
ABV: 9.0%
# Ratings: 1
Score: 4.00
Busy Little Bee is a mixed culture sour ale fermented with a Belgian yeast strain, then transferred to neutral oak barrels where we blended in mixed cultures of brettanomyces and lactobacillus. We also added local Georgia galberry honey (hence the name). A secondary fermentation happened in the barrels, and then we aged it for 6 months. You’ll notice tasting notes of nectarine, honeysuckle, pear, pineapple, lemon peel, roses, and - of course - honey.
Breakfast Ante Meridiem
Style: Brown Ale - Other
ABV: 13.5%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 1
Score: 4.50
Ante Meridiem. It's our big and bold Imperial Brown Ale. We breakfast-ified it by aging it in Bissell Maple Farm bourbon barrels. Next, we added maple syrup (yes, you read that correctly), locally roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee and Ugandan vanilla beans. Have it with some steak and eggs - we won't look askance.
Lay Low
Style: IPA - Session / India Session Ale
ABV: 3.2%
IBUs: 30
# Ratings: 1
Score: 3.75
At just 90 calories and 3.2% ABV, Lay Low is an IPA that packs in a surprising amount of character. Hints of tropical fruit and pine wrestle with a pleasant hop bitternes and a slightly sweet malt profile. It's the perfect beer for taming tigers. If you've already tamed all the tigers, it's still a great IPA to slay all day.
Han Brolo
Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 4.7%
IBUs: 25
# Ratings: 13,608
Score: 3.76
A juicy, pale ale. Unfiltered and flavorful, Han Brolo has a full-bodied, chewy mouthfeel. A huge dry hop gives this beer notes of tangerine and grapefruit. A lactose addition during brewing adds silkiness. At only 4.7% ABV, it’s a beer you can keep coming back to without sacrificing flavor.
Dust Bunny
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.8%
IBUs: 60
# Ratings: 6,621
Score: 3.91
Dust Bunny is packed with aromatics of orange and lemon dripping with honey. Its soft yet bright body contributes notes of peach. Moderate bitterness balances a juicy mouthfeel for an all-around refreshing IPA.
Bourbon Barrel-Aged Drafty Kilt
Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
ABV: 8.5%
IBUs: 26
# Ratings: 5,656
Score: 4.06
What do Scotland and the American South have in common? An appreciation for good booze. But that doesn’t mean they always get along. We put our award-winning Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale in Kentucky bourbon barrels and let them duke it out in the cellar. Who won? You did. Oh, also we did. Again. A GABF Gold Meal. No big deal. The chocolate, caramel, and roasted malts in Drafty Kilt complement the charred oak and vanilla notes in the bourbon barrels quite well. Notice we didn’t say “compliment.” Scotch and Bourbon still don’t send each other Christmas cards.
I'm On A Boat
Style: Golden Ale
ABV: 4.8%
IBUs: 20
# Ratings: 5,588
Score: 3.53
Sit back, relax and cruise. I’m On A Boat is an easy drinking golden ale that’s enjoyable floating on the water, or hanging on shore. A low ABV crusher, I’m On A Boat is brewed with Pilsner malt and wheat for a crisp and clean drinking experience. Finished with Mandarina Bavaria hops for just enough bite…but at only 20 IBU’s, you’ll need to keep your cooler fully stocked.
Don't Call It Hotlanta
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 8.5%
IBUs: 55
# Ratings: 4,513
Score: 4.10
What's the fastest way to make an Atlanta native cringe? Say "Hotlanta." Take your senses on a trip ITP when you sip on this quadruple-dry-hopped IPA. With the unpredictability of Atlanta’s spring weather, this cloudy double IPA pops with sunny tropical notes on the nose. It drinks dank and finishes with a bit of bitterness, much like an Atlanta sports fan. Don't Call It Hotlanta checks in at a bridge-collapsing 8.5% ABV, so enjoy it after your hour-long evening commute.
Fistful of Cake - Opera Cake
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double Milk
ABV: 9.0%
# Ratings: 2,657
Score: 4.14
Inspired by the classic opera cake, this imperial stout is thick and decadent. We used coffee and a budget-breaking amount of vanilla beans to complement the roasty and rich base stout. Channel your inner 1-year old, and go to town on this one. 9% ABV. NOTE: Contains lactose.
Cardigans of the Galaxy
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 9.5%
IBUs: 95
# Ratings: 2,636
Score: 4.10
Fly on a journey to the cosmos with Cardigans of the Galaxy. Sure, this is a 9.5% ABV, 95 IBU DIPA hopped with Columbus, Mandarina Bavaria, Simcoe, Citra, Ekuanot, Mosaic, Comet and Galaxy. But the secret sauce is the extra-dry finish and the big citrusy melony nose. Just as long as you heed mom's warning and take a sweater with you, all will be well.
Dark Subject Matter
Style: Stout - American Imperial / Double
ABV: 12.0%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 2,145
Score: 4.14
Sit down. We've got to talk. The simplest way to describe Dark Subject Matter is an adjunct-free American Imperial stout. But that doesn't tell the whole story. With 2-row, Munich and chocolate malts in the mix, this beer is roasty and toasty like most stouts. Chocolate is prevalent on the nose, and this beer is silky smooth. Pair it with a hot fudge sundae, a fine cigar or your favorite true crime podcast.
Silkscreen
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 5.3%
IBUs: 38
# Ratings: 1,994
Score: 3.76
Silkscreen packs in plenty of citrus and floral notes in a super crushable IPA. Hopped with El Dorado, Amarillo, Lemondrop, Mandarina Bavaria and just a touch of Citra, with a backbone of 2 row, spelt, rolled oats and acidulated malt. Pair this one with late summers at the lake, grilling out with friends or leftovers after a hard day's work.
Slushee Fund
Style: Sour - Gose
ABV: 5.0%
# Ratings: 1,902
Score: 3.87
This gose (pronounce goze-uh) is a tart and sweet mix of cherries and fresh lime zest. With a touch of sea salt for authenticity and balance (trust us on this one).
Tears of My Enemies - Scotch Barrel Aged (Vintage No. 2)
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double Milk
ABV: 9.3%
IBUs: 34
# Ratings: 1,871
Score: 4.30
There is nothing more sumptuous than the misfortune of your enemies. That dark, smoky taste of revenge takes over as it hits your lips, marching upon your tongue like an army towards certain victory. In addition to the smoke and locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee on the nose. This beer is roasty, chocolately, and, like the tears of your enemies, the most delicious thing you’ve ever tasted. NOTE: Contains lactose.
Ante Meridiem - Blend No. 1 - 2018
Style: Brown Ale - Imperial / Double
ABV: 13.5%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 1,730
Score: 4.19
Don't sleep on Ante Meridiem. Our massive (13.5% ABV) Imperial brown ale is aged in Georgia's own ASW Distillery bourbon barrels. We add locally roasted coffee from Batdorf and Bronson, Ugandan vanilla beans and maple syrup. The result is a boozy, sweet, satisfying drink that works well with chocolatey desserts, ice cream, or a Connecticut-leaf cigar.
404 Page Not Found
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 7.1%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 1,630
Score: 4.00
No need to go on an endless search here. 404 Page Not Found is an unfiltered, easy-drinking IPA has plenty of hoppy notes - dry hopping with Citra, Idaho 7 and Simcoe guarantees that.
Fistful of Cake - Chocolate Orange
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double Milk
ABV: 9.0%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 1,504
Score: 3.89
It's time for the second version of our Fistful Of Cake Imperial Stout. This time, we're adding cocoa nibs, freshly-peeled orange zest and Vietnamese cinnamon to our roasty and flavorful base stout.
Overnight Celebrity
Style: Porter - Other
ABV: 11.5%
# Ratings: 1,462
Score: 4.26
Overnight Celebrity is an 11.5% ABV imperial porter aged in maple bourbon barrels with vanilla, espresso beans and coconut. With aromas of macadamia nut and dark malt on the nose, this beer hides its alcohol content well. The sweetness of the maple syrup stands up to strong coffee flavors, while subtle coconut notes blend well with the vanilla and oak characteristics of the maple bourbon barrels. NOTE: Contains lactose.
Double Archipelago
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 8.0%
IBUs: 55
# Ratings: 1,340
Score: 3.99
Inspired by our first Hop Hut release, Double Archipelago is an unfiltered IPA that delivers a taste of the tropics. Hopped with Southern Passion, Vic Secret, Kohatu, Simcoe, El Dorado and more, this beer is a juice bomb of tropical flavors, including passionfruit and rockmelon. Double Archipelago plays well with grilled foods, spicy cuisine, and fruity desserts.
Beyond the Clouds
Style: IPA - Farmhouse
ABV: 6.3%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 1,304
Score: 3.91
Set yourself adrift with Beyond the Clouds, our newest bottle release from the Garage. We inoculated this India Pale Ale with several different strains of Brettanomyces. Combined with the base liquid, this wild yeast produces vivid flavors of pineapple. These flavors are kicked up to stratospheric levels after interacting with our Citra and Mosaic dry hop addition. Coming in at 6.3% ABV, Beyond the Clouds is a quaffable liquid to experience just as the seasons are starting to change.
Currant Events
Style: Sour - Fruited
ABV: 4.5%
IBUs: 5
# Ratings: 1,293
Score: 3.94
An easy-sipping tart ale, we added black currants and boysenberries to make this a refreshing respite after a long day. And did we mention it's red?
Mischief Managed - Raspberry
Style: Sour - Berliner Weisse
ABV: 4.5%
IBUs: 8
# Ratings: 1,286
Score: 4.10
Just in time for Monday Night's 2018 Prom, Mischief Managed is the first in our series of Berliner Weisses. This version is aged in Sauvignon blanc barrels on raspberries. Tart, crisp and clean, this ruby-hued Berliner Weisse is refreshingly dry. Berliner Weisse yeasts are notorious for causing mischief in the beer if not managed correctly, so we kept this beer in the Room of Requirement at the Garage for months. A light, easy sipper at 4.5% ABV, pair it with pomme frites, an arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette, or a white pizza.
