Monday Night Brewing
Big ups to our resident Braves expert, Ryan Cooley, for his promotion to Head Brewer. Ryan has had pretty much every job in production, starting in the packaging department, then cellar, and finally the brewhouse. As Head Brewer, Ryan will oversee day-to-day brewing operations, while simultaneously trying to maintain control of the brewery sound system with his oh-so-terrible taste in music. Fortunately for the rest of the team, the role of Head Brewer does not come with additional sound system privileges. #startedfromthebottomnowwerebeer

If you weren’t able to make it the taproom this weekend, West Midtown still has a few cases of Locals Only for sale. You just have to know who to ask.* This hazy, juicy IPA is soft on the palate and tropical on the nose. If you can’t make it to the taproom this week either, you really need to rethink your life choices. Nonetheless, don’t worry – Locals Only will see limited distribution starting next week. *Ask anyone.

Congrats to Peter Kiley on his promotion to Brewmaster. After a stint in wine-making, Peter started as one of our first production employees, working on our bottling line. He worked through the ranks, doing some barrel modeling on the side for extra cash. Peter brings a creative flair and glorious hair to our already gloriously-haired production team (along with tons of experience making amazing beers). In his new role of Brewmaster, he will be responsible for all the liquid that we make. This pic is from his early days at Monday Night, when we was still straddling barrels for money. These days, his beard is longer and his hair is even more glorious. #startedfromthebottomnowwerebeer

Every full-time employee at Monday Night receives a denim jacket when they are hired. But a denim jacket without a wolf patch is a sad denim jacket indeed. That’s why we developed patches based on our core values. We meet quarterly to award employees for embodying our core values and carrying us forward. This particular patch is awarded for attacking a problem with intelligence, ferocity, and/or bared fangs. We call this program “Patch-Worthy.” It’s a pretty fun way to celebrate each other and what we’ve been able to accomplish together. Make work fun, y’all.

BEER LIST
Fu Manbrew
Style: Witbier
ABV: 5.2%
IBUs: 15
# Ratings: 14,096
Score: 3.55
A bright, spicy Belgian-style wit. An effervescent, easy-drinking wheat beer, brewed with Belgian yeast, German hops, and a whisper of ginger from the Far East. This mustachio’d Belgian-style wit believes that good beer defies borders. The name Fu Manbrew was crowdsourced with some help from our friends at Scoutmob. They call the mustache a “Flavor Savor” for a reason.
Slap Fight
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.0%
IBUs: 57
# Ratings: 13,177
Score: 3.75
Slap Fight will woo you in with a West Coast-style malt bill, but slaps you across the face with its tropical hop profile. Light in body, heavy in character, this IPA features Munich and Crystal pale malts for a clean, rich mouthfeel. Comet, Equinox and Mosaic hops lend a pungent herbal aroma, peppered with hints of papaya, orange and grapefruit. Present this beer to a friend. If he does not drink it immediately, slap him as hard as you can. Repeat.
Blind Pirate Blood Orange IPA
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 7.4%
IBUs: 55
# Ratings: 11,944
Score: 3.83
A juicy IPA. Pirates love citrus fruits almost as much as they love blood. If the phrase “you are what you eat” is true, then pirates are blood oranges. If the phrase “you are what you drink” is true, you’re about to be an incredibly delicious, juicy hop bomb of an IPA. We add bits of real blood orange to every beer, so you know it’s good.
Han Brolo
Style: Pale Ale - American
ABV: 4.7%
IBUs: 25
# Ratings: 6,694
Score: 3.79
Brewed with lactose sugar, this unfiltered pale has a chewy malt backbone with explosions of hops, resulting in a stratospheric experience. A juicy, hazy pale ale. Unfiltered and flavorful, Han Brolo has a full-bodied, chewy mouthfeel. A huge dry hop gives this beer notes of tangerine and grapefruit. A lactose addition during brewing adds silkiness. At only 4.7% ABV, it’s a beer you can keep coming back to without sacrificing flavor.
Dr. Robot
Style: Sour - Ale
ABV: 5.0%
IBUs: 7
# Ratings: 4,682
Score: 3.68
A tart, fruity sour beer. Dr. Robot is as playful as its name. After souring to a delightfully tart level, we add blackberry juice and lemon zest to enhance and balance the flavor. The juice gives this beer a pink hue. The perfect blend of sweet and sour, Dr. Robot is a refreshing year-round sipper.
Whirling Dervish
Style: Stout - Irish Dry
ABV: 4.9%
IBUs: 30
# Ratings: 1,674
Score: 3.74
We partnered with our friends at Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters to come up with this version of the classic coffee stout. At just 4.9% ABV, you could replace your daily coffee with this one.
Don't Call It Hotlanta
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 8.5%
IBUs: 55
# Ratings: 1,670
Score: 4.15
What's the fastest way to make an Atlanta native cringe? Say "Hotlanta." Take your senses on a trip ITP when you sip on this quadruple-dry-hopped IPA. With the unpredictability of Atlanta’s spring weather, this cloudy double IPA pops with sunny tropical notes on the nose. It drinks dank and finishes with a bit of bitterness, much like an Atlanta sports fan. Don't Call It Hotlanta checks in at a bridge-collapsing 8.5% ABV, so enjoy it after your hour-long evening commute.
Nitro Drafty Kilt
Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
ABV: 7.2%
IBUs: 26
# Ratings: 1
Score: 3.00
Why mess with the perfection that is Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale? We just couldn’t help ourselves. Nitrogenating instead of carbonating gives this beer a creamier mouthfeel, and blends the malt flavors into one smooth, dreamy note. The smokiness is still present, but plays a supporting role. The bottom line: Add Nitro Drafty Kilt to your bucket list.
Drafty Kilt
Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
ABV: 7.2%
IBUs: 26
# Ratings: 19,826
Score: 3.78
A roasty scotch ale with a hint of smoke. Full-bodied, but not overpowering. Smokey, but not in a creepy bar kind of way. Sweet, but not obnoxiously so. Sound like your ideal mother-in-law? Fair enough, but it also is a pretty dead-on description of our Scotch Ale. In a difficult hop-growing climate, Scottish brewers relied on other ingredients to impart flavor and bitterness – one such ingredient was smoked malt. Drafty Kilt is a dark, malty bombshell of a beer.
Bourbon Barrel-Aged Drafty Kilt
Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
ABV: 8.5%
IBUs: 26
# Ratings: 4,584
Score: 4.07
What do Scotland and the American South have in common? An appreciation for good booze. But that doesn’t mean they always get along. We put our award-winning Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale in Kentucky bourbon barrels and let them duke it out in the cellar. Who won? You did. Oh, also we did. Again. A GABF Gold Meal. No big deal. The chocolate, caramel, and roasted malts in Drafty Kilt complement the charred oak and vanilla notes in the bourbon barrels quite well. Notice we didn’t say “compliment.” Scotch and Bourbon still don’t send each other Christmas cards.
Dust Bunny
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.8%
IBUs: 60
# Ratings: 3,270
Score: 3.95
Dust Bunny is packed with aromatics of orange and lemon dripping with honey. Its soft yet bright body contributes notes of peach. Moderate bitterness balances a juicy mouthfeel for an all-around refreshing IPA.
I'm On A Boat
Style: Golden Ale
ABV: 4.8%
IBUs: 20
# Ratings: 2,288
Score: 3.56
Sit back, relax and cruise. I’m On A Boat is an easy drinking golden ale that’s enjoyable floating on the water, or hanging on shore. A low ABV crusher, I’m On A Boat is brewed with Pilsner malt and wheat for a crisp and clean drinking experience. Finished with Lemondrop hops for just enough bite…but at only 20 IBU’s, you’ll need to keep your cooler fully stocked.
Space Lettuce
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 8.1%
IBUs: 100
# Ratings: 1,630
Score: 4.24
A space crafted double IPA , resulting in a cosmically aligned hop encounter.
Tears of My Enemies - Scotch Barrel Aged
Style: Stout - Imperial Milk / Sweet
ABV: 9.3%
IBUs: 34
# Ratings: 1,436
Score: 4.31
There is nothing more sumptuous than the misfortune of your enemies. That dark, smoky taste of revenge takes over as it hits your lips, marching upon your tongue like an army towards certain victory. In addition to the smoke and locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee on the nose. This beer is roasty, chocolately, and, like the tears of your enemies, the most delicious thing you’ve ever tasted.
Archipelago
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 7.0%
IBUs: 60
# Ratings: 1,366
Score: 4.03
Brewed with hops hailing from the South Pacific, Archipelago is an unfiltered IPA that brings a taste of the tropics to the south. Hopped with South Pacific gems Enigma, Motueka, and Galaxy (with a little Mosaic added for good measure), this beer is a juice bomb of tropical flavors, including passionfruit and rockmelon. Archipelago plays well with grilled foods, spicy cuisine, and fruity desserts. Clocking in at 7.0% ABV, this moderately bittered beer packs a juicy mouthfeel and full hop aroma, resulting in an incredibly refreshing IPA.
Rucksack
Style: Hefeweizen
ABV: 4.9%
IBUs: 20
# Ratings: 1,122
Score: 3.67
Introducing Rucksack. Our newest summer seasonal, this German-style wheat beer is a well-earned respite after long day on the trail or in the hammock. Hazy and unfiltered, Rucksack’s wheat malt delivers a bready character that screams citrus fruit when combined with Mandarina Bavaria hops. Steeping this beer with orange peel post-fermentation only accentuates this fruitiness. Pair Rucksack with roast pork, fried chicken and even lobster rolls. Hit the trail with Rucksack and be ready for adventure.
Beyond the Clouds
Style: Sour - Farmhouse IPA
ABV: 6.3%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 930
Score: 3.99
Set yourself adrift with Beyond the Clouds, our newest bottle release from the Garage. We inoculated this India Pale Ale with several different strains of Brettanomyces. Combined with the base liquid, this wild yeast produces vivid flavors of pineapple. These flavors are kicked up to stratospheric levels after interacting with our Citra and Mosaic dry hop addition. Coming in at 6.3% ABV, Beyond the Clouds is a quaffable liquid to experience just as the seasons are starting to change.
Ante Meridiem
Style: Brown Ale - Imperial / Double
ABV: 13.5%
IBUs: 45
# Ratings: 792
Score: 4.21
Don't sleep on Ante Meridiem. Our massive (13.5% ABV) Imperial brown ale is aged in Georgia's own ASW Distillery bourbon barrels. We add locally roasted coffee from Batdorf and Bronson, Ugandan vanilla beans and maple syrup. The result is a boozy, sweet, satisfying drink that works well with chocolatey desserts, ice cream, or a Connecticut-leaf cigar.
Excolatur
Style: Sour - Ale
ABV: 9.5%
IBUs: 15
# Ratings: 707
Score: 3.93
What does the fox drink? If he's smart, it's Excolatur. The result of over two years of aging in Bourbon and rum barrels, this dark sour benefits from an additional four months over Montmorency cherries. The combination of lactobacillus and pediococcus give Excolatur a clean sourness with just enough funk to remind you it is, like the fox, wild and untamed. With an acidity similar to wine and a 9.7% ABV, Excolatur pairs well with a great steak, chocolate-covered cherries, or an outdoor fire pit with friends.
Tears of My Enemies - Bourbon Barrel Aged
Style: Stout - Imperial Milk / Sweet
ABV: 9.3%
IBUs: 34
# Ratings: 686
Score: 4.37
There is nothing more sumptuous than the misfortune of your enemies. That dark, smoky taste of revenge takes over as it hits your lips, marching upon your tongue like an army towards certain victory. In addition to the smoke and locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee on the nose. This beer is roasty, chocolately, and, like the tears of your enemies, the most delicious thing you’ve ever tasted.
Situational Ethics (Rum Barrels And Coconut)
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 13.9%
IBUs: 55
# Ratings: 684
Score: 4.27
Situational Ethics is a series of decadent imperial stouts, each aged in a different barrel. This is the rum barrel aged version, with coconut and Ugandan vanilla beans added.
Situational Ethics (Maple Bourbon Barrels And Cinnamon)
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 13.9%
# Ratings: 630
Score: 4.28
Situational Ethics is a series of decadent imperial stouts, each aged in a different barrel. This bottle is the Bissell Maple Bourbon barrel aged version, with cinnamon and Ugandan vanilla beans added.
Mischief Managed - Raspberry
Style: Sour - Berliner Weisse
ABV: 4.5%
IBUs: 8
# Ratings: 556
Score: 4.13
Just in time for Monday Night's 2018 Prom, Mischief Managed is the first in our series of Berliner Weisses. This version is aged in Sauvignon blanc barrels on raspberries. Tart, crisp and clean, this ruby-hued Berliner Weisse is refreshingly dry. Berliner Weisse yeasts are notorious for causing mischief in the beer if not managed correctly, so we kept this beer in the Room of Requirement at the Garage for months. A light, easy sipper at 4.5% ABV, pair it with pomme frites, an arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette, or a white pizza.
Situational Ethics (Bourbon Barrels And Coffee)
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 13.9%
# Ratings: 555
Score: 4.29
Situational Ethics is a series of decadent imperial stouts, each aged in a different barrel. This bottle is the Bourbon barrel-aged version, with Batdorf & Bronson coffee and Ugandan vanilla beans added.
Father Figure
Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale
ABV: 7.0%
# Ratings: 553
Score: 3.94
We aged this saison in second use bourbon barrels for almost two years, over time turning it into something truly unique. Father Figure is a beer that demands your respect. From humble beginnings as a saison comes a dark, barrel-aged ale exhibiting a mosaic of flavors. Oak and vanilla notes work alongside toasty, dark chocolate undertones. A 7.0% ABV props up these bold flavors well, resulting in a beer you are unlikely to forget. Pair Father Figure with a caramel dessert, or split this bottle with dad.
Entente Cordiale
Style: Barleywine - English
ABV: 13.0%
IBUs: 50
# Ratings: 533
Score: 4.23
Entente Cordiale represents a rare truce between the French and English. This English-style Barleywine Ale has been aged in French Cognac barrels, marrying the best of both worlds. Ugandan vanilla beans, orange peel, and cocoa nibs add further depth.
