No farms, no beer! This #EarthDay we'd like to direct your attention to the thought that this beer you're enjoying is an agricultural product as much as it is a work of art & science. Our brewers' skill goes beyond merely stewarding ingredients in the brewing process. Their skills go out into the fields with the farmer to select the best raw materials grown-- and we're stoked to have some of the best grown right here in Michigan. We need to take care of our beer by taking care of our planet. Hop Field is brewed with Michigan-grown wheat and carefully chosen, native, Michigan-grown hops. Mackinac, Copper, and MI Heritage hops bring Hop Field to life and honor our growing region by contributing to our local agricultural economy. Honor our planet by raising a glass of homegrown refreshment! Pack in, pack out. And be stewards of nature. Happy Earth Day everyone! 🌎🍻🐓

BEER LIST
Farm Hand
Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale
ABV: 5.5%
# Ratings: 19,832
Score: 3.59
Rustic. Refreshing. Local. There was a time in old-world France when nearly every family farm had its own brewery. It was a necessary part of farm life to provide a ration of beer to the laborers, as beer was safer to drink than plain water. Farm Hand is our interpretation of what these rustic farmhouse beers must have been like. Brewed with Michigan-grown wheat, we leave this beer unfiltered and rustic to accent the natural lemon-citrus tartness from our fermentation process. This beer is easy drinking for any occasion, but reveals layers of complexity for those who wish to discover them.
Wizard Burial Ground
Style: Belgian Quad
ABV: 10.0%
IBUs: 27
# Ratings: 9,979
Score: 4.13
Aged for 12+ months deep in the old gypsum mines south of town, this Belgian inspired quadrupel ale pours a deep amber. The big alcohol of the quad pulls notes of bourbon, vanilla and charcoal from the barrels and melds perfectly with the caramel richness.
Tart Side Of The Moon
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 9.5%
# Ratings: 9,729
Score: 3.79
Big chocolate roast malt paired with lush black cherry and soft acidity. We kettle-sour a portion of the mash to lend a slight tartness on the finish. Listen to the Lunatic.
Nordhouse
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.0%
# Ratings: 1
Score: 4.00
IPA brewed with juniper berries, Michigan Chinook hops, and our signature farmhouse yeast. Honors the native flora of Nordhouse Dunes just north of our Grand Rapids brewery.
Tart Side of the Barrel: Black Raspberry
Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale
ABV: 9.5%
# Ratings: 1
Score: 3.75
Barrel Aged Sour Farmhouse Strong Dark Ale with Black Raspberries Taking things one step further, we take our Tart Side of the Moon and age it in wood and then add in massive amounts of Black Raspberries. Very Limited. Only 528 bottles produced.
Love Shadow (2019)
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 12.4%
IBUs: 120
# Ratings: 1
Score: 4.00
Taking up his (or her) mash paddle on brew day, the brewer has his (or her) eye on the future months when flavors all come together. However, there is always a shadow of mischief that comes in the forms of fermentation, wooden barrels, grain terroir or water pH. Still, guiding this precious dark liquid from start to finish is the brewer’s duty. With Love Shadow, we have guided a powerful Belgian inspired Imperial stout through the bourbon barrel aging process and come out the other side with a full bodied behemoth with notes of chocolate, vanilla, and oak char. Drink up. Enjoy this beer in a slender tulip with a funky blue cheese, slice of chocolate cake, or with bacon and waffles. Your shadow will be impressed.
Paris (2018)
Style: Sour - Ale
ABV: 9.1%
# Ratings: 1
Score: 3.50
Paris is one of the first sours we ever made and holds a special place in our hearts. The very first red wine barrels we ever filled were named Paris and Helen after the ill-fated lovers that caused the Trojan War. We harnessed the wild culture from these barrels and took solace in the complex sour it produced. This beer is an imperial saison brewed with black peppercorns and orange peel aged in pinot noir barrels for over 12 months. Notes of oak, red fruit, subtle peppery spice, complex tannins.
Bon Papapaya
Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale

The Fountain Streeter

Port Love Shadow
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
ABV: 9.8%
IBUs: 10
# Ratings: 1
Score: 4.25
Love shadow, our bourbon barrel aged imperial srout, walks an alternate path for this port barrel aged version. Maturation in port barrels lends a dried berries and raisins aroma that pairs well with the rich chocolate of the dark malts and vanallin notes from the barrel aging. We are pleased to release this version of Love Shadow for you to indulge in with your inner demons and understanding friends.
Big Red Coq
Style: Red Ale - American Amber / Red
ABV: 6.0%
# Ratings: 20,403
Score: 3.72
Expect hints of mango, pineapple and citrus to hit your nose with an assertive hop presence. Named lovingly after our mascot, BRC is an American-Belgian fusion of beer styles featuring imported Belgian caramel malts and slapping it with a heavy handed dose of American hops.
Triomphe
Style: IPA - Belgian
ABV: 6.5%
IBUs: 47
# Ratings: 14,341
Score: 3.66
Triomphe is made with a classic Belgian style yeast strain that gives the complexity and slight sweetness you may expect from a Belgian style ale. The beer then reaches deeper providing a smack-down of American grown hops to turn the style on its head. It has a light caramel color, is strongly bitter with a fruity citrus aroma.
Undertaker
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale
ABV: 6.7%
# Ratings: 13,023
Score: 3.67
Pours a sinister black and offers the palate roasted coffee notes, hints of black fruit dipped in chocolate, and a subtle smokiness.
Tropical Saison
Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale
ABV: 5.5%
# Ratings: 7,852
Score: 3.65
Pineapple & Mango saison. A slightly spicy character, light effervescence, and the addition of real pineapple & mango juice make this beer perfect for a Michigan summer. Citra hops add to the clean finish.
Zaison
Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale
ABV: 9.3%
# Ratings: 7,397
Score: 3.80
Zaison takes its inspiration from the famous Saison style of beer madein the southern region of Belgium. Traditionally this beer is made in the coolness of the winter months to be enjoyed in the Spring and Summer. Our special yeast strain gives this beer a little funkiness and is accented with tellicherry black peppercorns and orange peel. At 9% abv this is probably one of the strongest summer beers you will encounter. The alcohol contributes to the flavor so who are we to try to reduce it? This is the strength the beer wanted to be, so we left it that way.
Contemplation
Style: Golden Ale
ABV: 7.0%
# Ratings: 6,569
Score: 3.65
Clover honey added during the boil contributes color and complexity but adds no sweetness to the beer as the sugars are broken down during fermentation. Look for whispers of apricot and nectarine on the palate, mixed with the floral aroma of the hops grown in northern Michigan.
Tree Bucket
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 9.5%
IBUs: 71
# Ratings: 6,320
Score: 3.96
Our brewers are slinging some serious hops into this Belgian inspired DIPA, which is why we initially named it "Trebuchet", the mediaeval French catapult pictured at right. We ran into a snafu with the name when we discovered another cool brewery in California already had it trademarked. Belgian candy sugar and the Ardennes yeast strain lend sweetness to this very, very hoppy beer. Tropical fruit-forward Citra hops, among others, give balance to the sweet profile and high ABV. The beer is babied in the fermentation tanks and dry hopped just before packaging.
Hop Field
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 7.0%
# Ratings: 6,191
Score: 3.77
Our Farmhouse IPA is a celebration of native Michigan hops that we carefully selected to give juicy flavors reminiscent of pineapple, tangerine & pear. Our farmhouse yeast adds an additional layer of citrus character that blends beautifully with the toasted bread notes from the locally grown unmalted wheat used in the mash. We leave this beer rustic and unfiltered to maximize flavor.
Pumpkin Tart
Style: Pumpkin / Yam Beer
ABV: 7.0%
# Ratings: 5,387
Score: 3.65
Belgian brewers are inspired by their local agriculture. Living in the midst of a rich agricultural heritage our Vivant brewers find it quite natural to be inspired in this same way. A Michigan autumn heralds color tours, corn mazes and bountiful pumpkin harvests (4th in the nation, last we checked!). This rustic beer is fermented with real pumpkin and a hint of Fall spices. Our farmhouse yeast yields a delightful tartness that sets this pumpkin beer apart.
Ski Patrol
Style: Witbier
ABV: 6.1%

Paris
Style: Sour - Ale
ABV: 11.5%
# Ratings: 3,799
Score: 4.07
Paris is a bold saison spiced with orange peel and black peppercorns. It is then aged with wild yeast strains in red wine barrels for over a year, creating an oaky nose, bright fruit character, a tannic structure perfect for aging, and a solid smack of sour.

Monks have been brewing beer in Belgium for centuries. Their beers have been some of the most sought after in the world. Solitude is made in the tradition of the famous brewing monks of the Abbeys of Belgium. This beer is deep mahogany in color, malt forward with hints of caramel, pear & raisin.

Devastation
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
ABV: 11.6%
# Ratings: 2,897
Score: 4.00
Bourbon barrel aged double IPA. Devastation is a curious experiment of what happens to hops when aged in wood. Tree Bucket, our Belgian inspired DIPA, is aged in freshly drained bourbon barrels until the balance of hops and wood is just right. This hedonistic pairing of huge mango aromas from Citra hops and rich vanillin from the charred wood will make you wonder why it's dark beers that get all the barrel time.
Pothole Stout
Style: Stout - Other
ABV: 6.3%

A pint of this will help you cope with all those friggin potholes. We use some beans from local small-batch coffee roasters Rowster Coffee in this rich and chocolatey brew.
