Since 1996, we have proudly made our British-inspired, American-crafted ales. We aspire to brew beers that achieve brilliance through balance – ales that satisfy the senses with complex flavor while providing pure refreshment that leaves you wanting more.

We use the finest domestic and English malted barley, along with the highest quality hops from the Pacific Northwest and Michigan. Arcadia ales are fermented in our unique open fermentation cellars using our own proprietary yeast strain.

At Arcadia Brewing Company, it’s about passion – passion for producing our artisanal ales for you, our loyal customer.

At Arcadia Brewing Kalamazoo, we had the opportunity to rehabilitate and give new life to 400 feet of downtown Kalamazoo’s riverfront. Our pet-friendly beer garden has direct access to the Kalamazoo River for kayaks and canoes and over 20 miles of the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail’s paved bike and pedestrian pathways. Have a brew or some food over a game of shuffleboard and cornhole, then take it easy around our gas-lit council fire.

Our pub and kitchen in Kalamazoo take our passion for BBQ to a whole new level with an all wood-fired Oyler BBQ smoker from Texas, burning pure hickory. Most of our meats are locally sourced, with many being a byproduct of whole animal/seam butchery. Additionally, our chefs also regularly feature unique vegetarian and gluten free options. Enjoy our communal seating and deli-style food service, while our team of servers gets you a beer, wine, Michigan-made soft drink like Faygo, and more!

# Ratings: 26,228
Score: 3.72
This remarkably balanced brew has a deep amber hue with a generous white head. Hopmouth showcases a rich, toasty flavor and sweet caramel notes as a result of the high-quality Maris Otter malt, imported from England. The hops are right up front in the aroma, reminiscent of citrus and pine, while the resin-like flavors linger well after the last sip.
Jaw-Jacker Ale
Style: Spiced / Herbed Beer
ABV: 6.0%
IBUs: 19
# Ratings: 21,932
Score: 3.47
This spiced amber ale is our celebration of the arrival of Autumn. Brewed with cinnamon, all-spice and nutmeg (a riff on Grandma Davies’ pumpkin pie recipe), and additions of Caramel and Crystal malt for balanced flavor, drinkability and a brilliant orange-amber color, despite the absence of pumpkin in the recipe. A refreshingly spicy, season brew.
IPA (India Pale Ale)
Style: IPA - American
ABV: 6.0%
IBUs: 47
# Ratings: 19,547
Score: 3.44
Dry-hopped with Cascade hops in our open fermenters, our IPA boasts a bright floral aroma and flavor reminiscent of pine and lemon peel. The pronounced hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-bodied caramel and biscuity malt character with a nutty finish. It showcases many subtle earthy bitter notes, rather than the resinous citrus-rind bite often featured in many American-style IPA’s. Silver medal winner in the Classic English-Style Pale Ale category at 2015 GABF.

Our tribute to the Scottish Highlands, this beer offers a gorgeous garnet color joined by the aroma of ripe plums and freshly-baked biscuits. The rich, full-bodied texture reveals notes of roasted chestnuts and caramel, in a smooth, single-malt style of brew. Apollyon
Style: Belgian Strong Golden Ale
ABV: 9.3%
IBUs: 20
# Ratings: 2,438
Score: 3.68
Belgian-style Strong Golden Ale. Tremble before Apollyon, The Destroyer, for herein is a beer that requires careful handling. Produced using a technique that amplifies the intense apple/pear fruitiness of Arcadia's house English-style yeast, the result is a straw-colored Belgian-style strong golden ale that hides its strength carefully. Obscured by intense honey notes, hints of cotton candy, fresh-baked bread, and a wickedly dry, crisp body, we took to calling it Apollyon in homage to the Belgian tradition of naming beers after "devilish" figures. Unlike the king of locusts, the only truly dangerous part of Apollyon is how enjoyable and refreshing it is.

Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast creates the classic banana, clove and bubblegum flavors and aromas; no fruits or spices are added. Pale copper and hazy in color with a pillowy white head. Banana, clove, bubblegum, citrus zest and slight grainy wheat aromas. Flavors mirror aromas with almost no hop flavor or bitterness. Relatively dry and bright, but vicious mouthfeel of a 50% wheat beer.

Score: 4.00
This unfiltered Pilsner-style beer is loaded with hops from the “Garden of England”, the name given to the famed Hop Yards of Kent, and brewed with 100% English malted barley. A very easy drinking lager with a hop character that will please both Pilsner and IPA fans. The origins of this collaboration beer started with a visit to the medieval market town of Faversham in Kent, England, home of the storied Battle of Britain. There we met the Master Brewers of Shepherd Neame, the oldest brewer in England, where art and science has been blended into award-winning, world-class beers since 1698. Together we sought to design a beer that is respectful to our brewing traditions, yet unique in its execution. The result – our first ever lager beer!
The Devil Went Down To Gary

ABV: 7.7%
IBUs: 60
# Ratings: 1
Score: 3.75
Sometimes inspiration can come from the strangest of places. This is exemplified in Arcadia's first American Pale Ale, The Devil Went Down to Gary. If you asked the brewer who conceived of this delicious, tropical beer he would tell you it came to him in a dream after falling blissfully asleep under a palm tree on a stretch of beach on Lake Gary in Gary, Indiana. While an intriguing description, it does not begin to exemplify this delicious, hoppy yet fruity American Pale Ale. Brewed in our new 100bbl closed fermenters with American Ale Yeast, a divergence from our 21 year old proprietary yeast strain. Dry hopped with Mosiac and Citra, tropical and hoppy flavors and aroma are balanced by a solid malt backbone. Light copper in color with a creamy white head, you'll never guess at 7.7% it's so easy to enjoy a pint, or two!

IBUs: 17
# Ratings: 23,595
Score: 3.51
Brewed in the style of a mid-19th century English Festival Ale, this unfiltered wheat beer displays a translucent orange color topped with a creamy, white head. Wheat enhances the mouthfeel of the beer and produces pleasant bread-like notes while Michigan honey provides a caramelized sweetness in the flavor profile. This beer is spiced with orange peel and coriander and small amounts of three hop varieties pleasantly counterbalances the sweetness.

The triple choclate stout is a unique interpretation of the style, combining three different chocolate malts, cacao nibs and 63 percent semi-sweet chocolate, making it a sinfully delicious brew. The addition of blackstrap molasses produces an earthy, caramelized tone in an already complex flavor profile. It's creamy, milkshake-like mouthfeel earns this beer the distinction of being dessert in glass.

London Style Porter
Style: Porter - English
ABV: 7.0%
IBUs: 22
# Ratings: 4,686
Score: 3.51
Travel to a time of brewer's lore, when smoke was spelled "smoake," when dark beers held the collective hearts and minds of the people of merry old England. Believe it or not, back in the1850s, Porter ruled the beer world, and no one brewed Porter like the brewers of London. Drawing their water from the Thames, blending old and new batches, and experimenting with new types of malt, Porter evolved throughout the years, and probably at one time held some substantial smoakiness. Arcadia's London Porter draws on this rich historic tradition, but adds a few special twists to make it all our own. The flavor of London Porter is multi-layered, starting with a bold, pleasing sweetened coffee richness, which gives way to round and subtle smoke, much like a delicately smoked ham. Porcine sweetness is capped by a gloss of fig jam or cherry compote, fruity and complex. Faint pear and hay notes barely poke through, reminders that there are some delightful American Glacier hops under all the finery.
