Tomorrow, weds 7/18, come have a taste of Livin’ the Dream, our New England IPA collab with local brewer extraordinaire, Matt Franklin. A super hazy juicy bomb of Matt’s own design, this beer utilizes Loral, Amarillo, Cashmere and Mosaic hops to yield a creamy, fruity treat. And if the release of Livin’ the Dream isn’t enough for you, how about the tapping of a Barrel-Aged Golden Sour that is emerging from our basement after a 2.5 year slumber. A bright, bracing sourness plays well with some oak tannins and hint of vanilla. If only every Wednesday could be this delicious!

Juicy flavor and a pungent, tangy nose of citrus and tropical fruit. A nice, clean bitterness paired with a slight alcohol heat and dry finish makes this an exceptionally easy drinking brew.
Centaurus
Style: IPA - Session / India Session Ale
ABV: 5.5%
IBUs: 46
# Ratings: 1,350
Score: 3.79
Our summer session IPA is an ode to the half human, half bicycle creatures that roam the Iowa plains during these agreeable months. A huge dry-hopping of Loral and Columbus leaves a great citrus flavor and aroma, with just a bit of pleasant pine character.
Kundera Kölsch
Style: Kölsch
ABV: 4.6%
# Ratings: 998
Score: 3.67
Slight hop bitterness, pleasing European malt character and pleasant earthy German hop flavor and aroma. This beer is light, clean, low ABV and highly drinkable. Enjoy morning or night.
Iron Lion
Style: Belgian Strong Golden Ale
ABV: 7.0%
IBUs: 20
# Ratings: 906
Score: 3.63
A riff off of a Belgian classic with a Caribbean twist. Pilsner malts and a light Belgian yeast character play nicely with the citric cranberry nature of Hibiscus. Beet sugar lends a pleasant sweetness to the finish while effervescent carbonation keeps it dry and clean.
Coffee Compensation
Style: English Mild Ale
ABV: 4.7%
IBUs: 12
# Ratings: 788
Score: 3.90
Our GABF Gold Medal winning Compensation with a healthy dose of Organic Ethiopian Banko Natural Process beans, roasted by Kickapoo Roasters. This light coffee adds a great aroma and accentuates the fruity yeast character already found in this world-class English Mild.
Majestic Beast
Style: IPA - New England
ABV: 6.2%
# Ratings: 446
Score: 4.13
This mirthful beverage was dry-hopped with Mosaic Lupulin Powder, as well as a bit of Simcoe and Eukanot. By using hop powder with the green plant material removed, we are dry-hopping a concentrated version of the aromatic oils found in the hops. Resinous and tropical; potent yet graceful. It may just bring a tear to your eye.

Brewed to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Great Porter Flood of 1814 that occurred in London at the Meux Brewery. Biscuity, brown malt character and a bit of chocolate and coffee make this a nice, quaffable brew. Gold Medal at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival.
Olde No. 17
Style: Stout - Irish Dry
ABV: 5.5%
IBUs: 24
# Ratings: 1,245
Score: 3.81
The official beer of the Cedar Rapids St. Patrick's Day Parade Society (SaPaDaPaSo), and originally brewed to commemorate its 40th anniversary. This is the classic pub stout you know and love with a twist; 100 lbs of organic mashed potatoes were added during the brew to increase the dryness and slightly boost the alcohol. Roasty, with hints of dark chocolate, nuttiness and rich creamy mouthfeel. Sláinte!
Živá Voda
Style: Pilsner - Czech
ABV: 4.7%
# Ratings: 906
Score: 3.50
Živá Voda is named for the "living water" of Czech fairy tales that heals infirmities and counteracts spells. Brewed with floor-malted Bohemian barley and wheat which add subtle richness and accents of clover honey. The addition of Saaz hops throughout the run-off and long boil give this beer the distinctive earthiness and spice associated with authentic Pilsners.

Just an honest-to-goodness crushable beer. Bridge Beer is our take on light beer, with just a bit more panache. It doesn't demand hours of contemplation but you just might contemplate drinking it for hours.
Sticke Alt

A fusion beer with German and Czech roots in the name as well as in the recipe ("robot" is a word with Czech origins). Brewed in honor of the 1st annual Czechtoberfest in Cedar Rapids. Munich and Dark Pilsener Malt provide the base while Melanoidin richness satisfies. A hearty and highly drinkable beer for the season.

Coffee Kölsch
Style: Kölsch
ABV: 4.6%

Our Kundera Kölsch with a healthy dose of Direct Trade Nicaragua Divine Inspiration beans sourced by our friends at Ross Street Roasting. A beautiful trick of the eye. Light golden hue of a Kölsch, rich aromatics of freshly roasted coffee beans.
Smoked Chocolate Stout
Style: Smoked Beer
ABV: 5.3%
# Ratings: 466

The velvety texture and flavor of the dark roasted "chocolate" malt is most definitely the centerpiece of this beer, but an addition of beechwood smoked barley throws in a subtle layer of complexity that makes you want to go back for another sip.

Cucumber Kölsch
Style: Kölsch
ABV: 4.6%

XXXX Compensation
Style: English Mild Ale
ABV: 8.2%
# Ratings: 375
Score: 4.09
Aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon and Rye Barrels, our take on a historic style of high alcohol Mild Ales. While it seems like a contradiction in terms, the XXXX Mild was a beer that existed in 1830 England before taxes dragged down alcohol levels in beer. Our XXXX is an homage to our world-class Compensation Mild and barrel-aged to make it just right.
